Business Operating Permit
A permit authorising businesses to operate legally within the municipality. The process includes issuance of a temporary licence followed by a full permanent permit after due review.
What is a Business Operating Permit?
Every business within the municipality’s jurisdiction must obtain a Business Operating Permit (BOP) to legally operate. This licence confirms that the business is registered, located and meets the regulatory requirements for lawful business operations.

- Name of Business
- Name of Business Owner
- Business Location (GPS address or physical address)
- Contact Details
Temporary Permit
Upon submission of the required documents, a temporary permit valid for 90 days is issued immediately to allow the business to operate while the municipality completes due diligence and background checks before issuing the permanent permit.
Important Notice
Please ensure that you apply for the Business Operating Permit before commencing operations. Operating without a valid permit may result in regulatory action by the Municipal Assembly.
Permanent Permit
Following the temporary permit period, provided all checks and due diligence are satisfactory, the permanent Business Operating Permit is issued. The business is then required to comply with all conditions outlined by the Municipal Assembly.
