Municipal Chief Executive Joins Eid-ul-Adha Prayers at Kumasi Central Mosque

On Wednesday, the Municipal Chief Executive joined the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC), led by the Ashanti Regional Minister, in observing the Eid-ul-Adha prayers with thousands of Muslims at the Kumasi Central Mosque.

The congregational prayers were led by the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Zakaria, who offered special prayers for peace, unity, stability, and the continued development of the Ashanti Region and the nation as a whole.

The occasion was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities, including representatives of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, traditional authorities, government officials, community leaders, and members of the Muslim Ummah. Their participation reflected the enduring spirit of religious harmony, national unity, and collective responsibility toward the advancement of society.

Eid-ul-Adha, one of the most significant observances in the Islamic calendar, commemorates the virtues of faith, sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and generosity. The Municipal Assembly extends warm Eid-ul-Adha greetings to all Muslims and prays that Allah (SWT) accepts their prayers and sacrifices, blesses them with abundant peace and good health, and grants lasting peace, unity, and prosperity to the Ashanti Region and the Republic of Ghana.
