Hon. Ben Abdullah Inaugurated as Municipal Chief Executive of Asokore Mampong

The Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly recently held a formal ceremony to inaugurate Hon. Ben Abdullah as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE). The well-attended event took place at the Assembly Hall and marked the beginning of Hon. Abdullah’s tenure as the municipality's chief administrator.

The inauguration ceremony brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including officials from the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, traditional authorities, Assembly Members, religious leaders, civil society organizations, and residents from across the municipality. Their presence demonstrated strong community support and a shared commitment to the development of Asokore Mampong.

In his first official address during the General Assembly Meeting, Hon. Ben Abdullah expressed his appreciation to the President and the people of Asokore Mampong for the opportunity to serve. He also outlined his vision for inclusive and sustainable development, emphasizing three key priorities:

  • Infrastructure development, particularly roads, drainage, and public facilities
  • Enhanced revenue generation to reduce dependency on central government allocations
  • Improved service delivery, including sanitation, health, and education

“We are determined to build a stronger, more resilient municipality where opportunities are available for all,” Hon. Abdullah stated. “By working closely with Assembly Members, traditional leaders, and community groups, we will ensure that our developmental goals are people-centered and results-driven.”

Throughout the ceremony, speakers including regional officials and traditional leaders praised Hon. Abdullah’s dedication and leadership qualities. They pledged their support to his administration and urged all Assembly members and staff to work collaboratively in the interest of progress.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of unity among stakeholders, as Hon. Abdullah officially assumed his role. His appointment is seen as a significant step toward revitalizing governance and accelerating development within the municipality.
